A decade ago, Lindsey Pelaez balanced a newborn and a three-year-old while her husband deployed overseas, working full-time and managing properties on the side to create financial stability her family could count on. Today, that determination has grown into Nest Managers Property Management, now recognized as Fayetteville’s most awarded property management company.
Pelaez, a Methodist University graduate and Fayetteville native, spent years in corporate operations before launching into entrepreneurship. She moved her family annually to take on fix-and-flip projects that funded each next phase of growth, building the business between deployments and late nights at her kitchen table.
“I wanted to build something I didn’t have — a business that gave me control over my future and the freedom to be present with my family,” Pelaez says. “My husband was always gone serving our country, and I needed something that could serve us; a life I could build with my own two hands. I didn’t come from wealth or a roadmap. I built this from late nights, determination, and faith that if I kept showing up, it would grow into something real.”
What started as a solo operation has expanded into a multi-division enterprise serving homeowners, investors, and communities across North Carolina. The company now includes property management and HOA services through Nest Managers Property Management, a licensed renovation and construction division called CCP Renovations, and Swanky Nests Real Estate, a boutique sales brand specializing in luxury homes and lifestyle properties.
The integrated model reflects Pelaez’s vision of creating a comprehensive real estate ecosystem built on accountability, communication, and owner protection. Her approach prioritizes relationships alongside results, a philosophy that has earned the company numerous local and national recognitions for service and community impact.

As Nest Managers marks its tenth year, Pelaez views the milestone as a testament to perseverance and faith rather than just professional achievement. The company serves property owners and investors throughout Fayetteville, Hope Mills, Raeford, and surrounding markets, delivering what Pelaez describes as a seamless experience across property management, sales, and renovations.
“This company was born out of necessity but grew out of love, love for my family, for this community, and for proving that even when life is uncertain, you can still create something extraordinary,” Pelaez says.
Operating from 1318 Fort Bragg Road in Fayetteville, the family of companies continues to expand its footprint while maintaining the values Pelaez established during those early years of juggling deployments, young children, and the vision of building something lasting.
