When Kim Larson founded Larson Health six years ago, she had one clear goal: to help people understand why their bodies were no longer responding to traditional diets. Today, she’s guided more than 3,000 clients through personalized functional nutrition programs that address hormones, metabolism, and gut health—not just calorie counting.
Larson’s work reflects a broader shift in the health and wellness industry toward data-driven, individualized approaches. “People come to me after years of doing everything right,” she says. “They’ve been told to eat less and move more, but no one’s looked at their cortisol levels, thyroid function, or inflammatory markers.”
Functional Nutrition Meets Hormone Science
With certifications in functional nutrition and hormone-based fasting through the Fast Like a Girl protocol, Larson tailors her methods to women’s biological rhythms. Her clients—mostly in their 40s through 60s—often face hormonal changes that make traditional weight loss nearly impossible.
Her approach goes beyond diet plans. It incorporates functional lab testing, hormone mapping, and targeted nutrition to rebalance insulin, cortisol, and thyroid hormones. The goal, Larson says, is not rapid weight loss but metabolic flexibility—the ability for the body to efficiently shift between burning fat and glucose for energy.
The Podcast That Built a Brand
The Larson Health Podcast has become one of the biggest growth engines for her business. Released weekly on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube, each episode explores topics such as insulin resistance, thyroid health, and the science of autophagy in clear, actionable language.

The show attracts listeners who are tired of oversimplified diet culture and want to understand the “why” behind their symptoms. “Education creates empowerment,” Larson says. “Once people understand how their bodies work, they can finally make changes that last.”
Expanding Into Integrated Wellness
Now, Larson is preparing to launch LarsonNutrition.com, a wellness brand that merges metabolic health coaching with a botanical skincare line. The products are designed to support elasticity, hydration, and firmness—common concerns for women navigating hormonal transitions.
“It’s a natural progression,” she says. “When you restore your metabolism and balance hormones, your skin, energy, and confidence transform too. We’re connecting those dots in one holistic ecosystem.”
The move signals a new era of integration in the wellness space, where internal health and external appearance are treated as interdependent systems.

Scaling for Impact
Larson’s vision for the future is ambitious: to grow her company into a multi-million-dollar enterprise with dedicated teams for coaching, product innovation, and educational media. She’s also expanding her online programs to reach clients globally.
Her success mirrors a broader industry trend as consumers move away from one-size-fits-all diet plans and toward functional, root-cause approaches that bridge medicine, nutrition, and lifestyle science.
“Health transformation isn’t just about losing weight,” Larson says. “It’s about creating metabolic resilience for life.”
